Issues Returning TWAIN Images to Apteryx Imaging Software

Apteryx has very few settings for TWAIN capture. Most issues with TWAIN should be dealt with by the hardware/TWAIN manufacturer.

If a TWAIN capture seems to be functioning perfectly, yet is unable to return an image back into Apteryx software, the default General Options for TWAIN capture may be causing issue. Access the TWAIN Device Configuration settings by following the listed steps for the Apteryx Software you are currently using (XVLite [LEGACY], XrayVision3 [LEGACY], XrayVision4 [LEGACY], XrayVisionDCV, or XVCapture).

• XVLite [LEGACY]
  1. Open XVLite
  2. Click Preferences from the left-hand menu
     
  3. Select Imaging from the left-hand menu
     
  4. Click the Twain Devices button under Image Acquisition Options
     
  5. Double-click on the listed TWAIN experiencing issues (or single-click to highlight, then press Edit Configuration)
     
  6. Continue to TWAIN Device Configuration
• XrayVision 3 [LEGACY]
  1. Open XrayVision
  2. From the top menu, navigate to Tools > TWAIN Devices
     
  3. Double-click on the listed TWAIN experiencing issues (or single-click to highlight, then press Edit Configuration)
     
  4. Continue to TWAIN Device Configuration
• XrayVision 4 [LEGACY]
  1. Open XrayVision
  2. From the top menu, navigate to Tools > Hardware Options
     
  3. Select TWAIN Devices in the left-hand menu
     
  4. Double-click on the listed TWAIN experiencing issues (or single-click to highlight, then press Edit Configuration)
     
  5. Continue to TWAIN Device Configuration
• DCV/XVCapture
  1. Open XrayVisionDCV or XVCapture
  2. Attempt to capture a TWAIN image on a test patient, but stop on the following screen
     
  3. Click on Auto Acquire Setup in the left-hand menu
     
  4. Double-click on the listed TWAIN experiencing issues (or single-click to highlight, then press Edit Configuration)
     
  5. Continue to TWAIN Device Configuration

With the TWAIN Device Configuration window open, make sure all settings under General Options are unchecked (shown below), then click OK and/or Done until back at the desired screen within the Apteryx Software.
